We're Home

I can't believe it and I am still very nervous, but WE'RE HOME!!!! Adalynn has done amazingly well. She is eating well and we have even gotten smiles (now that she is off the morphine). We left Scottish Rite around 4:00 this afternoon. She is a little fussy and seems to hurt, especially when the pain meds wear off, but considering they ripped the top of her mouth off, stretched it, and sewed it back on-she is doing great. The plastic surgeon did say that her cleft was a lot larger than what he thought. He said it wasn't the largest that he's seen, but it was large. We will follow-up with him in about 2 weeks (probably right before or after Christmas).

Please continue to pray that she stays on track for a speedy recovery. It has been strangely easy so far and we hope it continues. When I have a bit more time on here, I will post pictures (though you can't see much)!

  1. WTG Adalynn! Still praying for her. I'm hoping she continues to heal and get better every day.

  2. you all will be in our thoughts!

  3. I'm so glad to see an update and to hear you're home and all went well. I know it's been a tough few days for you. {{{HUGS}}}

    You'll be in my continued prayers.

  4. I'm so glad to hear her surgery went okay. I will add her to my prayer list for a speedy recovery!

  5. So glad to hear she is doing well! I hope her recovery is quick. I bet she will have a lot of work to do at Christmas opening her presents since she has been such a good little girl! Hugs for you all!
