normal

Surprisingly life has been fairly normal around here. The snow is finally (well mostly) gone. The sun has begun to shine and signs of spring (including allergies) are all around us. We've really not been up to much, but here is a little picture of normal....

We've been making funny faces.....

We've been napping......

(well at least Adalynn has been napping). The boys had both given up naps by this age, but she still needs them. Night time with her has still been quite a chore. She starts out in her bed (and goes to sleep by herself after we read), but ends up in our bed in the middle of the night 3-4 nights a week. She comes walking over carrying all of her things (ie. blanket, stuffed animal(s), pillow(s), and water ... and sometimes I think whatever else she finds along the way) and climbs into bed with us. Some nights she goes right back to sleep and it doesn't affect anyone, other nights she tosses and turns, kicks us, pats my back, and takes awhile to settle back down.
She naps on the couch downstairs during the day. This is how John found her the other day!

We've been reading....

Now that Adalynn is older, she loves listening to books with her brothers. We used to split up and one of us would take the boys and the other would read to Adalynn. Now, we usually do all 3 of them together. Most nights it works out okay. Some nights, well let's just say it isn't as pretty as this picture below!

We've been staying clean.....

And we can't forget bath time. Last year, I was on the phone with a friend and she overheard me tell the boys "no, you can't take baths-you are too dirty". She began laughing and when I asked what was so funny, she said it is a good thing that she knows that my kids take showers. I HATE the thought of them bathing in their own dirt, so they all started taking showers at a very young age....I mean INFANT, young age!!! Now, baths still do happen at our house, but they are only on rare occasions and when they do happen, they LOVE them!!!

We've been celebrating.....

Broderick had his Cub Scout Blue and Gold ceremony celebrating some of the older boys moving from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts. We, of course, didn't get any great pictures of Broderick during the ceremony, but did get these of John and I while we were waiting. Sorry Broderick!

We've been enjoying the sun....

And last, but definitely not least...the SUNSHINE! We have definitely enjoyed the warm weather and gorgeous sunshine. You know it is bad when Adalynn says in a surprised voice "the sky is blue!!!!" It really was hilarious!!!

I know, I know...I need to teach her the dangers of cell-phone use while operating a motor vehicle :)

And the boys are getting SUPER excited about playing baseball this spring. They had the option of soccer or baseball and both chose baseball. I can't wait to get some great pictures! Here is Broderick playing catch with John.

And finally PLEASE make sure you check out HouseParty.com It is a great website that features different companies offering "house parties". What is a house party you ask.....well straight from the website....

"A House Party is thousands of parties across the country, hosted by people like you. Each event is sponsored by a leading brand and focuses on something cool that the sponsor wants its best fans to experience firsthand and share with their friends.

I have been to a Betty Crocker party, and hosted a Wii Your Shape/Jello Mousse Temptations party and we just had a Digiorno Pizza Party. It was so much fun to have our friends and neighbors over and share some great pizza (that I had FREE coupons for from houseparty.com ) and then send them home with great coupons!

Here are the kids.....
and some of the pizza.....

and some of the need basketball themed decorations that came with the kit I received.....
It was tons of fun and now I have signed up for a McDonald's party and a Hasbro Game Night party. I hope I get selected again!!!! You will ALL be invited!

Many Blessings,
