Thanks for the prayers...more are needed.

As they say, when it rains it pours...

We returned safely from Indiana early Saturday morning after spending time this past week with family to mourn the loss of Shannon's grandfather. While driving back Shannon received news that Missy, one of her close friends from Georgia, had been sent home with hospice care. Saturday afternoon, the boys and I took Shannon and Adalynn to the airport so that they could go to Georgia and see Missy. Please say a quick prayer for Shannon and Adalynn as they are traveling away from home and that they return safely at some point this next week. Also, please pray for Missy and her family as they deal with the inevitable and that they find comfort during this difficult time. Please visit Super Ryan's blog (link is in the right column) for updates on Missy's condition.
Thanks, John

  1. Hi-I just found your blog from the iVillage CL/CP board I just joined. I'm so happy to find your blog, I cried while watching the video of your precious daughter. We too have a beautiful cleft baby...just a tad older that your gorgeous girl. I just treasure all of those memories on this journey. You can check my blog at AzlanHonor.blogspot.com and I think you'll see many similar sentiments between our journeys. God bless your precious family!

  4. Hey John, thanks for all you did so Shannon could come to GA. One of my favorite jokes goes something like this: one day Dad comes home from work and the house is a wreck. worse than you could imagine. stuff everywhere, the kids are nasty, it's bad. He asks his wife what happened today. what did you do. She told him: you know those things I do everyday? I didn't do them today! I just love that joke(not really a joke, I guess). ya'll take care and see you in DEc. Love, Missy
